After snack today we all headed up to the garden for an explore and play. The children really enjoyed spending some of the time with the older children in the school, exploring around the garden. The grassy hill was a favourite sport with the children sliding down again and again.
Some of the children found quieter spots in the garden to make some secret dents with lots of imaginative play.
There was also some great problem solving going on as the children tried to work out how they could get up on to the swing without an adults help. The solution was to use an old tyre to help as a step up. They were all so pleased with being able to get on and off the swing independently.
SIMOA the elephant also joined us on our play up in the garden, reminding us how to stay safe, particularly when climbing on the tree.
Everyone was very excited when they spotted the ferry coming in. We all headed down to the bottom of the garden for a better view and waited to see all the cars coming off. We counted 13 cars!
“It’s like a whale opening its mouth”
“It’s massive”
“It’s huge. I see the captain”
The best part was when the ferry men gave us a big toot of the horn as they set off again.
