It has been another very quick week in the nursery. The children have all been so busy and are particularly enjoying being outside. Splashing in puddles, playing up in the garden, playing with the balls and mark making outside. The children also worked out that they could make the half muscle float, rock from side to side and showed good team work swaying together to get the float to start rocking.
The porch is another favourite space in the nursery. We introduced some dry seeds into the play kitchen this week and the children all showed great imagination skills, making their friends all sorts of meals, from birthday cakes to soup and even an avocado cake!
In the water trays some of the children were talking about how some of the objects they put in the water floated to the top and others sank to the bottom. We will try to investigate this curiosity around floating objects further this coming week.
This week we started back with PE in the school hall. The children were all very excited to get changed into their shorts and have a play in the hall. This week we were practicing our listening skills and awareness of our bodies using the balls as well as our passing skills.
We hope the children have all had a lovely week and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
