It has been a lovely week having everyone back in the nursery after the Christmas break.
The children have been enjoying playing in the sensory trays this week. They have been making cloud dough and playdough, making lots of cakes and models.
With the calm weather this week, the children have loved spending a lot of time playing outside and up in the garden. Water play has been a favourite and the children have enjoyed filling up their different containers and pouring them on to the ground to splash in and watch how the water pools. There has been lots of climbing and sliding up in the garden, with lots of imaginative play.
Water play is always a favourite in the porch area. The children really enjoy using the half pipes to join the different containers together. Often this turns into a water park for the barbies and dinosaurs. The children have been problem solving and worked out that if they poured the water behind their toy it would slide fast down the pipe.
The children have been so creative as always inside the nursery. There has been lots of building with the construction toys and pattern making. They have also made some lovely small world fairy villages.
On Friday Maria came along to the school and we all went to the gym hall for some traditional dancing. It was great fun!
