We were delighted to welcome the bairns back to nursery this week.  They explored the setting, finding their favourite activities and there has been lots of game play.

The outside play this week has included building a house with multiple chimneys, feeding the hens, spotting a rainbow, exploring the muddy puddle, keeping the ice cream shop running, building a seesaw, moving sand and tidying up the polycrub.

We had a few ripened bananas to use up so the bairns searched for recipes on the iPad and came up with a sugar-free banana milkshake and banana muffins.  They prepared the ingredients, made up the muffin batter and added it to the paper cases.  We borrowed a blender from the kitchen and the bairns took turns to press the button and watch the mixture become a milkshake.  The bairns all enjoyed milkshakes and muffins for snack.
