Week Beginning 28 March 2022

As the Easter holidays are upon us, we have explored lots of Easter-related activities this week.   Beverly the day cleaner gave us a goose egg and we discussed the differences between it and our bantam hens eggs, we got the surprise of a double yolk in the goose egg. They got mixed up for some delicious scrambled egg for snack. After watching the Easter story about Jesus, a discussion was had about what Easter means to Christians and how we enjoy and celebrate Easter with our families The bairns were keen to decorate hard-boiled eggs so we could see how far they would roll down the hill into the playground, there was lots of discussion about the decorations on the eggs, the distance travelled and how many had cracks by the time they reached the bottom of the hill.  An easter egg hunt finished off our Easter fun.

There have been so many photos taken of Bruno and the chicks that we all made some Easter cards to deliver around the residents of the sheltered houses and school staff.

Transition has started for our Pre school bairns this week with them joining the school bairns for morning break. Trevor built us a new sand pit outside and it has been very popular this week. the bairns helped out by  wheelbarrowing, filling and transporting buckets of sand to fill it, ready for them to get stuck into some serious playing!

We used a random number selector for our ‘Cunningsburgh and Beyond’ fundraiser, the winner won a hamper full of goodies.

We raised £128 which will be split between nursery and Ukraine Crisis. Thank you to everyone who supported this.

HAVE A FANTASTIC BREAK !
