Term 4 Week 9

Scottish Opera. On Monday, we headed to Scalloway for our opera workshop and performance of ‘Tam O’Shanter’. The class were amazing and worked hard to produce a super final performance, all in the space of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Well done P6/7!

P6 Trip. We had a super morning at the Outpost and a big thanks to Dave for showing us around and letting us feed, hold and pet the animals. We then had a peerie walk at Hamnavoe where we had hot chocolate and spent time looking for ‘treasure’. It was a lovely morning which everyone enjoyed.

Term 4 Week 8

Monster Kickabout. This week the P6/7 coaches have been running different events to celebrate football and Monster Kickabout. They’ve given up their breaktimes to run training sessions with the whole school as well as running several competitions throughout the week too. I am so impressed with the dedication and enthusiasm that has been shown by everyone. Well done!

Big Question. This week, has been our final week learning about Scotland and other world countries. Pupils worked in groups to create a presentation and prop about their country and Scotland, showing similarities and differences. We had hats, foods, pictures, and even a cookery demonstration.

Sports Day. What an amazing afternoon of sporting fun and sportsmanship. Well done to Voxter and Mail on their winning scores and Aith and Gord for coming a very close second.
