Hi everyone! It’s Rebekah here writing the blog this week. We’re going to share what we’ve been doing over the last couple of weeks.

Maths – 3D shapes. This last couple of weeks, then we have been revising 3D shapes. For this we might do like a quiz, activities or like colour and build your own 3D shapes. In our textbooks, we did things like learning about vertices, edges and faces😊(I mean like the faces on a the cube), and then had to draw our own 3D shapes.

Writing – Famous People. For our writing, we have been learning about Amelia Earhart and Ada Lovelace. Amelia was the first lady to fly solo across the Atlantic ocean and then disappeared whilst trying to fly around the world. We created presentations about her life. Ada Lovelace invented the first machine that could calculate stuff and we wrote stories about our own machines and then created posters about the goods and bads of technology.

Big Question. The Power to Save and Sustain. For ways to save energy, then we did pictures of the Lorax because he tries to save the environment. We then added in our own ways to save the environment around him.  On our pictures we added things like “Save the trees!” or “Don’t waste energy!” For ‘The Power to Sustain’ we looked at different keystone species and how they are important to the world.

This or That – free choice. This week for our S.D.G. we are working on what ever we want. The reason why we get to chose what we are doing is because it is quality education. People did lots of different topics including Minecrafts, SIX, myths, Gladiators, actors, animals, WW2, famous pianists and much more. We had a lovely afternoon hearing about the different topics.
