Hi its me Ava G and I’m in charge this week of the blog.

This week we have been doing lots of fun stuff.

Monday – silent maths. We played silent math games which was when we had to work in groups and find numbers from 1 – 100. We weren’t allowed to help each other but it was fun. Mrs. A pointed out how the puzzle worked and then it was a bit easier.

Tuesday – Floating and Sinking. We had to test 5 things in salt water and the same 5 things in fresh water and record if the things floated or sank. Some things floated in salt water but sank in fresh water.

Wednesday – Flying Turtle writing. We had to make a flying turtle fact files based on the short animation Once in a life time.

Thursday – This or That. In the afternoon, we had chance to work on our this or that stuff. This or that is where we have to complete tasks by Friday lunch time. Culture crew this week is to plan a party on a event or special day in South America. Sustainable squad is to find out about what education is like for children in different countries.

Friday – Boat testing. Our big question is how water is used to attack castles. So we made boats and tested to see how buoyant they were this morning. The boat ‘Pom-Pom Mania’ created by Eilidh S, Eilidh R and Ava T held the most marbles and everyone’s boats floated.
