My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes
This week we have been blending sounds together to make words like c-a-t to make cat. Then we were given a large cardboard box to decorate like a house because we were learning the h sound. At story time were shared this rhyming story with both cats and boxes. In playroom 8 we found a jigsaw map of the world and tried to find the countries the cats were from in the story. Which is your favourite box, country, and cat?

Football Fever⚽
Last term we enjoyed the Number Zoo stories to 10. Spotty seven is a favourite. He is a giraffe and has 7 bones in his neck, just like us, and Mr Bones!
Today we explored the number 11. We watched Numbertime 11 where they played a football game. We learned there are 11 players in a football team. Some of us knew that already.
We decided to invent our own number 11 story – Dalmatian dog eleven – with 11 spots. We wonder if our story might feature a football game?
