The Royal Navy visited our class last week. We participated in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities, including an engineering challenge to build structures as part of a team and we made our own rockets and launched them!

Back in early 2023, we created our own designs on pieces of linen, using natural dyes. These are now sewn together and are on exhibition at Mareel. We walked there recently to see the exhibition. We tasted nettle juice and enjoyed ice creams on the walk back, enjoying the sun!
Hi,
Welcome back!
Please find below a link to the curriculum information for Term 1.
In art p7 have started off the term by creating these amazing Wacky Faces.
We have been learning to manipulate paper to create 3d effects on flat paper. Everyone had to include at least one 3d part.
The good combination of skill and creativity has made this project a success!
Great start to the year p7!
We have been exploring Hans Zimmer as a composer. We focussed on his piece ‘ Earth’. We looked at the Planet Earth TV series as inspiration then drew what we felt we were hearing in the music.
We built up from this and using percussion instruments, we created a new piece over the intro. Ensuring it was pianissimo. (Very soft).
The beginning of this term in music was spent learning the Up-Helly-Aa songs for our 2 visitation days!
