Our Vision

image

Within Aith Early Years we offer a play based curriculum which is provided through a range of various child-led and adult-led experiences. Some of these activities may not always have an end result as staff are looking for rich “experiences” in learning. Children learn through play and enjoy carefully planned experiences to help them engage with Curriculum for Excellence’s Early Level. Our children have ownership of their learning and are involved in planning what they would like to learn.

imageThe children choose the activities which they wish to be involved in on a daily basis and are encouraged to be as independent as possible. At Aith Early Years children have daily opportunities to access the outdoors.

Staff continually observe the children to plan the next steps in their learning. Parents are invited to make their contributions and suggestions through our Wishing Well and suggestion box.

Our children enjoy evaluating and self assessing their learning by uploading their own posts to the Early Years blog. If the children are pleased with a play experience or have achieved something then they take a photo and upload it to the blog, with support from a member of staff.image
