Christmas Songs for Carol Service Tue 20th Dec

Primary 3A, below are links to the songs that we will be singing on Tuesday 20th December at the Christmas Carol Service in the Quoys Baptist Church. There are three mp3 files and three pdf files. The songs are Calypso Carol, Go Tell it on the Mountain and It was a Starry Night.

It would be great if you could use your snow day to practise these songs!

Book Week Scotland 14-20 Nov 2022

Next week (14th -20th Nov), is Book Week Scotland. It’s an annual celebration of books and reading that takes place all across the country. We will be doing lots of book related activities in school and your homework this week is also linked to Book Week Scotland.

Pupils are asked to prepare a short talk about their favourite book. They will be sharing it with the class in week 5 (week beginning 21st November).

Please encourage your child to find a book that they would like to tell the class about and help them to prepare a very short talk.

Aim to include the following information:

  • Title of the book
  • Author and illustrator (if any)
  • Why it’s their favourite book and their favourite part (if they have one)
  • Out of 5, how many stars would they rate the book?

Pupils should take their book into school if they can, on Monday 21st November.

If you would like to find out more about Book Week Scotland, here is the website details:
