Shared Reading with P7A

We had our first shared reading session last week and everyone really enjoyed it. We were paired up with a reading buddy from P7A and we loved listening to the story they had taken to share with us. We’re looking forward to hearing more stories next week!

Journey Through the Body – Glasgow Science Centre Visit

Last week we had a visit from the Glasgow Science Centre. They presented a show called ‘Journey Through the Body’ for classes from p1 to p3 and it was all about the journey that food takes through our bodies. The children absolutely loved the interactive show and learned a lot about the process of digestion. Here are a few snaps from the show.

Welcome to Week 4

Primary 3A, here is your Homework Grid for Week 4 (week beginning Monday 23rd January). A copy can also be found in the Files section above and on our Class Blog.
Please note that both the Number notion pack and the online activities are the same as week 3 due to the snow closure days. They reflect what we will be catching up with this week in class.

Visit the Artscool Exhibition at the Shetland Museum

P3A and B have work represented in the art exhibition along with other children from Sound school and other schools. The exhibition has been organised and hung by the art teachers in Shetland. We hope to inspire creativity and enjoyment of art.

Finley Smith and Eden Powis’s art works are in the exhibition but other children are in the slide show. You will see them enjoying making art in Sound school.

The exhibition has been extended to the 15th January 2023. Why not go and see it in real life and be inspired.

Here is a flavour of what you can see.
