We have been learning about keeping ourselves safe online this week by thinking about which personal information should be kept safe.
First we had to share information about ourselves with a partner and then we had to tell the class two things that our partner had said. We found out things like where the person lived, their favourite toy and about their family.
The next task was to decide which information was ok to share online and which information should be kept safe. We all decided that information about where we live, our family and our school should all be kept safe. We thought that sharing information about our favourite toys, our favourite colours and food were ok to share online as they didn’t give any personal information away.
We also spoke about which trusted adults we could go to if we were ever asked for personal information online or if we were upset by something we had heard or seen online.
When we came together at the end to discuss what we had learned, everyone felt that they had been successful in their learning and we had achieved our targets.
Learning Intention:
- I understand what personal information I need to keep safe when I am online.
Success Criteria:
- I can talk about my own personal information.
- I can recognise what personal information can affect my safety.
- I know who to tell if someone asks for my personal information and if something worries me or upsets me online.
