This term, our topic focus is plants. So far, we have been learning about the function of different parts of the plant, pollination and seed dispersal. We have been out and about looking for plants outdoors. We found lots of seeds and investigated how the plant would disperse them. We built our own paper seed models to see wind dispersal in action.

Today the Royal Navy visited our class. We were given two STEM challenges. The first was to build a rocket that could be propelled I to the sky. We had to design and problem solve. The second task was a team challenge. We had to build a tower to a certain height with as few materials as possible.

In art p7 have started off the term by creating these amazing Wacky Faces.
We have been learning to manipulate paper to create 3d effects on flat paper. Everyone had to include at least one 3d part.
The good combination of skill and creativity has made this project a success!

Welcome to session 2023 – 2024. This is just a quick update to let everyone know our class specialist times for this year. Specialist P.E. is on Monday and class teacher P.E. is on Thursday (this may vary when using outdoor spaces). Music is on Tuesday and art is on Thursday.
