Term 2- John-Frank

I took part in the school show “A Trowie Christmas Storie” and played Bertie. The best bit was when it finished. We reahersed for 4 weeks and it got better each time we did it.The reahersals took forever and it got boring after we did the same scene 10 times. We got alot of claps when we finished it. Over 60 people came and we had teas and homebakes afterwards.

Monday 19th September

First we did some handwriting concentrating on the letter M. Then we did some spelling and copied out our words in our homework jotters. After that we did spelling work on things like tion and qu. Before we started we played some spelling games in pairs like spelling noughts and crosses, it was fun.
After break we did some maths my group started a new topic on Problem Solving. Some people were working on Times Tables. Next we read some of the class novel outside seeing it was such a nice day.
After lunch we had Art. We were designing our own bottle with really bright colour and big patterns, like a sixties bottle; we did that outside as well. When we finished Art we had P.E with Miss Hobbin. We were playing hand ball. It’s a mixture of basket ball and foot ball because it has the same goals as football also the dribbling and passing of basketball. The last thing of the day was to go outside with Miss Hobbin to play some games.

Cheese Factory Visit

Yesterday p1-4 went to the cheese factory. First we spoke about cheese then we went to the work space he bought a new vat from the Dutch it mixes and cuts its self so Jay could get on with some more work. The new vat will hold one thousand litres and the old vat could hold twenty litres it makes twenty peerie cheeses and one big cheeses the new vat can make 20 big cheeses and 120 peerie cheeses. Then we cut the curds and took the whey out to take it to the pigs and then we stirred the curds and the saw the wax frying pan. And you have to wrap some sterilised cheese cloth over the cheese and put it in a big fridge for a few months while it goes mouldy.

Rachel’s group were doing theirs based on psyduck, Morgan’s group were doing theirs based on a penguin and Jonathan’s group were doing a fight scene. It was hard to cut out the cardboard but people kind of enjoyed it. After dinner we went outside for a little while and weeded a bit for the little class in the vegetable patch. When we came in we went on Just Dance 2 and you could go against Mr Hewitt and if you beat him you would get 5 pound but if you lost you gave Mr Hewitt 5 pounds of class money, everyone thought it was good but it was annoying because nobody beat him because he is a master.
