Monday 18th November

In the morning we did our project that is roman emperors I am doing Caligula that was fun. We looked at Roman crime and Punishment. That was funny as there was one method they used to punish people where they tied them into a sack with a Gorilla, dog, rooster and snake then threw them into the sea. Then it was maths I am doing addition and taking away that went ok. Then I went for break I had Sunbites for piece .
People were taken away in groups to do spelling with Miss Leask that was fun. At the same time we were doing language and our other spellings that was exciting. Then it was dinner for dinner it was quiche or veggie fingers I had quiche it was good. Last but not least it was PE we did dodge ball that was really fun then it was home time.

Thursday 14th November

When we got into class the first thing we did was learn about similes and metaphors. A simile is a description which is “like” so you say it’s like something and a metaphor is saying it IS something. So “He was like a roaring lion” would be a simile but “he was a roaring lion” would be a metaphor. We had to write a descriptive piece of writing about a fantasy scene.
After that it was break time
When we came back into class we were doing maths. In my math group we are learning about equations and it’s really confusing as after October I forgot what “n” was but then I remembered. After maths we did some work on our roman brochures which are making booklets or leaflets like a Roman estate agent to try and sell the Roman villas we made last term.
After we did that we had lunch which was lentil soup and then mince and tatties.
When we got back to class we were going to do a full show rehearsal. It was pretty quick for some reason and we got through the whole of it in two hours. Our play is called `Skelds got Christmas Talent.` While we were rehearsing, we made our show posters, P1-3 are going to decide which one we should use to advertise our show. Then after we rehearsed we read a bit of the class novel and went home.

Wednesday 13th November

At the start of the day we went to tag Rugby we went and got changed into our gym kits then we lined up. Daniel said you can go up to the gym hall, we then got our tag belt’s on. We started off with a game of British bull dog which is a game where there’s a catcher, and the catcher stand’s in the middle and you have to run across the gym hall and if you get tagged then you have to help the catcher catch people. It is really fun.
We then did passing back and forth with a partner I was with Nicol we passed quite well together we also did kick passes which we weren’t so good at. Noah was trying to pass to Stephanie but pretty much kicked at peoples head’s.
We then got split into groups of 3 and 4 we had two groups of 3 and one of 4 we then did games, we changed it a little so when we scored then we actually got a try. Then we needed to kick it over the basketball hoop, the red’s won all the matches because they had the most accurate kick’s.

We then went back to class were we did listening skill’s we had to write down numbers that Mr.Hewit said. They were all six digit’s except from one that was challenge which had seven. I got 4 out of 7.

We then watched news round we were watching what happened in Philippines when the storm struck.

After break we did math’s our group were doing posters for prime numbers and factors and factor pair’s. Jason was ill so it was just me and Flora doing the poster’s we made them colorful and joyful.

After that we went for lunch.

After lunch we did reading all of us read in groups expect Emma which read her book to Mr. Hewitt. We are reading Foxbusters by Dick King-Smith it is a very good book it is weird and funny.

We then did our posters for the school show, our school show is Skeld got Christmas talent I am a trow that is related to the elf’s.

We then did our animations on roman myth’s our one is about Mercury and Apollo, it’s looking good so far we have cows and 3 men and my favorite scene is when the cow gets turned in to a burger by the fire, also when he gets up on the cow. We then read our class novel which is demon dentist, it is really funny it is by David Walliams. It is about a boy that hasn’t gone to the dentist in a lot of years so he has do go to the DEMON DENTIST!!!!!

Monday 11th November

At school today, we did our listening skills. I found it easy. Our teacher read out four words then he would say them out again but miss out a word. There were four sets, I got four out of four. If you got full marks you got a piece of candy corn!
Next, we had weekend news. Weekend news is when you had to say your news that you did over the weekend to the class, or you say your news to the table you are sitting in. In my group were Emma, Loui-bo, and me. Anyway then our teacher picks someone from your table. I got picked. Then they go around the other tables and say your news and your table’s news.
Then it was spelling. Spelling is when you get a sheet of paper with 16 words on the back you have to copy them out two times, and do stuff to do with your words on the front. Our words were easy.
Then we had 15 minute playtime I was playing piggy in the middle.
After playtime, it was maths. In maths, I was multiplying by big numbers. Maths was for one hour. I found it tricky and hard.
Brochures were next. We had to make a roman villa and make a booklet to sell it to people I was doing the bit about the rooms. One person in our group was off so we had to work harder.
Then it was lunch and I was very very hungry.
After lunch it was Art and I had to make a collage of myself. P6 had to do JRSO, which means junior road safety officers.
Next was PE and we were doing basketball we were learning about scoring. I found it hard but easy at the same time. At the end we had a game of almost basketball.

Friday 8th November

In the morning at 9.15 we said good morning to the teachers in our school. Next we did our Friday warm up and danced to music on Just Dance 2014. At 9.45 we typed our script for our school play and finally finished it.
Next at 10.45 we had our break
Next at 11.00 we did our paired reading. It can be fun reading to the little ones. Next at 11.30 we had maths. My maths group had an impossible page where the people that made it hadn’t done it right. The question said there was two false answers, but after much research into the factors we found that there was actually three false answers.
Next it was lunch. We had fish and chips for lunch. Everyone loves the fish and chips. It was delicious.
After lunch at 1.30 we had written our folder for assembly. At 1.40 we had golden time where we can choose what we want to do for an hour. At 2.40 we had assembly. Finally we went home.

Thursday 7th November

Today at the beginning of school we had to come in with our P.E kit, a packed lunch and water bottle, as we were going to a mini-commonwealth games held in the Clickamin. When we got on to the bus, we went to Bixter then met up with Happyhansel. We went on a bigger bus to Lerwick then when we got to the Clickamin we went in, got changed into our P.E kits and went through to the hall, where we got told our teams. I was in team Shetland, with Loui-Bo. The other teams the rest of the class were in were: Scotland, Jersey and Canada. After we were all in our teams, we went to do our first sport.

My first sport was Athletics in the squash court, which was racing against each other, going off the reverse board, then going back. After that we went n some hurdles, and we had to jump over them sometimes twice in a race. Once we had finished Athletics, we went on to Bowls. Bowls is like bowling but you try to get near another small ball, not pins. The people taught us how to lay a mat, how to hold a ball correctly, and how to bowl. I took a few shots and it was funny as one of the women called me a “Natural” at it. I even heard her conversing with another women about it. After bowls, we had lunch, and me and Loui-Bo met up with the rest of Skeld. We were all talking about such nonsense that we barely got our lunches eaten before the 20 minutes of lunch was up.

Then we went on to try to find our next sport, hockey. Me a Loui-Bo got a bit lost but we eventually found the rest of Team Shetland. When we played hockey there were a few girls who showed us how to play, Once we had the hang of how to play, we did the number game, which was when they gave us a number, then called out any random number, if it was yours you had to run and try to get the hockey ball and get it in the others’ goal. After hockey there was Athletics again (a different place, though) with the longjump and some beanbag football game. In the longjump you had to run on to the springboard then jump off on to the mat, and in the beanbag football you had to throw beanbags at a football and try to hit it over the others’ line.

Once we had done all four of those sports, me and Loui-Bo went to try to meet up with the rest of Skeld, but we really didn’t know what we were doing. Once we had found them, we sat down while they announced the winners. The winners were Team Jamaica, which none of us were in, but a few of Happyhansel were in it. The prize was a water bottle. Everyone got a commonwealth wrist band and a sticker, and then we went back on the bus to school. It was a really fun day and I wish we could do it again.

We started off with handwriting and it was letter J. After we finished our handwriting we were finishing off our scripts for the Christmas show. Then we went to drink our milk and water, after that it was time for break.
When we came in from break we started doing our maths. The three Cha Cha llamas were multiplying with large numbers; it was hard but easy at the same time. Once we finished maths we carried on making our roman villa brochures, a brochure is basically a booklet or a leaflet about a villa for sale.
Then we went for our lunch it was sausage casserole with vegetables and for pudding it was apple crumble and custard.
After lunch we got our parts to play in Christmas show and that was so exciting. Last of all we went to music then it was time to go home.
