TEACHING METHODS – What will I do?
In the Geography department we use a variety of teaching methods. You will be working as an individual, but often in pairs, groups or as a whole class. You will certainly be doing a lot of reading, writing and drawing diagrams! You will also do presentations, posters, debates and investigations. Your teachers will make your learning as active and fun as possible. Geography helps you to understand the world in which we all live. It brings our environment as well as foreign lands alive and will give you a thirst to go out and explore! Geography also teaches you many skills that you will use at university and in later life, such as critical thinking, evaluating, debating and arguing.
