In S2 and S3 you will have two periods of Italian a week.
You will be introduced to the basic structures of the language as well as the culture of the country where Italian is spoken.
The course consists of 3 modules per year, which will allow you to master specific communicative functions, such as:
- All about me: asking for and giving personal information, such as age, date of birth, feelings, nationalities and languages.
- People around me: family members and age, describing hair and eyes, describing myself and others, talking about my family and friends.
- Places around me: saying where I live, talking about whether I like my town, describing the weather.
- Free time: talking about free time, giving opinions about free time activities.
- Daily routines: talking about my daily routine, talking about what I do at home.
- Food: talking about food and expressing likes and dislikes, meals of the day, inviting someone out.
In addition, you will be introduced to cultural aspects of Italy through individual lessons and modules focussing on culture.
In S2 you will watch the movie “Luca” by Pixar in Italian and will use the structures learnt during the year to learn about the characters and places in the movie.
