Enhance and Support Listening and Talking with Digital
Voice21
Voice21 have some great resources on their website including introduction to oracy, oracy framework (shown below) and oracy benchmark report.
Digital technology can be used to support many of the components on this framework. Check out our guides for ideas including:
- reading progress to support learners with pace, clarity and expression
- voice memo to practice listening and responding
- garage band for all things talking
Other great ideas include live video in keynote and picture-in-picture on iMovie!
Edpuzzle
This is a fantastic tool for so many things! Edpuzzle uses the power of video learning to engage learners and generate data for staff too. Teachers add questions in to the video and learners cannot move on until they have attempted the question.
It works brilliantly for listening – you could create a listening assessment! Contact a member of the team to find out more and have some training.
Quick guides
Here we have two quick guides to help your learners speak clearly while talking.
Reading Progress and Reading coach, although used for reading fluency may also be useful here as students read to camera.
