S1 London Trip May 2026
What a trip! 🇬🇧✨
Our S1 pupils have had an unforgettable few days in London, packed full of incredible experiences, laughter and memories that will last a lifetime. From exploring the magic of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter to taking in the spectacular London Eye views, braving the The London Dungeon, cruising along the River Thames and enjoying a fantastic performance of Disney’s Hercules, our young people threw themselves into every opportunity.
Most importantly, they have been an absolute credit to Hawick High School throughout the trip. Their behaviour, enthusiasm and fun loving attitude made for such and enjoyable few days (and the staff weren’t too bad either!).
A huge thank you to all staff involved in organising and supporting the trip — and to families for their support from home.
You can now enjoy some of the highlights from our adventure in the video below! 🎥
Welcome Back 2026
New School Updates
We are pleased to share some exciting news about the future of Hawick High School. Work is about to begin on the phased demolition of the old school buildings, with the first stage focusing on the Music building.
This marks the start of a significant journey towards creating a modern, inspiring, and fit-for-purpose learning environment for our young people. It is an important step forward in ensuring that our students have the very best facilities to support their learning and growth.
Throughout the programme, no teaching or learning will be disrupted. Students will be able to look on with anticipation and interest as progress is made, watching the transformation of their school take shape.
We are excited about the opportunities this development brings and look forward to sharing updates with you as the work progresses. Together, we can celebrate this new chapter for Hawick High School and the bright future it signals for our community.
Thank you for your continued support.
