Our Journey with Project-Based Learning
At Hawick High School, we are just beginning an exciting journey of discovery and development with Project-Based Learning (PBL). This approach places real-world problem solving, collaboration, and creativity at the centre of the learning experience—equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.
This section of our website will document our early steps as we explore and shape our curriculum through PBL. It’s a space for sharing our thinking, highlighting the work of our staff, and inviting parents and colleagues to follow and support our progress as we learn, adapt, and grow together.
Brainstorming Our Potential Project Ideas
As part of our initial journey staff worked in their departments to create some potential ideas for the coming year. This formed the jumping off point for us to get in touch with partners and think about how and when we can incorporate this into the curriculum offering for the year.
