Digital Group

Our school digital group is made up of members from Primary 6 and 7. Meeting regularly each week, our digital group are responsible for promoting and modelling all things digital within our school. Each month, our digital group are building and creating our own digital newspaper “The Heart Herald”. Additionally, our digital group are busy creating their own monthly news podcasts as well as taking responsibility for the digital resources within our school.

Rights Respecting Schools Group

This year, the rights respecting schools group have worked extremely hard to ensure the rights of the child are fully embedded across our school. We have focused on global goals and dedicated a day to world water day where we learned the importance of clean water. Throughout the year, cost of the school day has been a priority for our school. We celebrated International Women’s Day and particularly focused on Greta Thunberg and her passion for climate change. Additionally, we fundraised for soccer aid and took part in our own series of soccer challenges.

Eco Schools

Our Eco – Committee have successfully achieved the Keep Scotland Beautiful Green Flag. The committee worked incredibly hard over the year organising events, recording videos to help spread our message and finally completing the application process. Please click the link below to see the attached feedback letter we received.

JRSO

This year, our JRSO have worked extremely hard to promote the importance of road safety. We had lots of fun creating our own video to highlight how to cross the road safety. We had our very own walk to school week where children were encouraged to walk or cycle to school instead of using cars or buses.
