This year, the rights respecting schools group have worked extremely hard to ensure the rights of the child are fully embedded across our school. We have focused on global goals and dedicated a day to world water day where we learned the importance of clean water. Throughout the year, cost of the school day has been a priority for our school. We celebrated International Women’s Day and particularly focused on Greta Thunberg and her passion for climate change. Additionally, we fundraised for soccer aid and took part in our own series of soccer challenges.
Eco Schools
Another great effort today on our second beach litter pick. Thank you to all pupils, staff and parents who helped. Not forgetting Rosie and Rona from Tag Girvan who are constant in keeping all areas of Girvan clean, thank you for supporting us today too. π #ecoschools #ecogoals pic.twitter.com/CGFER6OV2B

Our Eco β Committee have successfully achieved the Keep Scotland Beautiful Green Flag. The committee worked incredibly hard over the year organising events, recording videos to help spread our message and finally completing the application process. Please click the link below to see the attached feedback letter we received.
Pupil CouncilΒ
The Pupil Council, Captains and Vice Captains had a successful meeting with Mr Ingram to discuss plans and targets for the New Year. It was also a great opportunity to count money raised from the School Concerts. #teamwork pic.twitter.com/BjlntGKG6z

This year, our JRSO have worked extremely hard to promote the importance of road safety. We had lots of fun creating our own video to highlight how to cross the road safety. We had our very own walk to school week where children were encouraged to walk or cycle to school instead of using cars or buses.
