Digital Literacy

The Technologies framework develops knowledge, skills, attributes and capabilities around Digital Literacy.  This includes:

  • Using digital products and services in a variety of contexts to achieve a purposeful outcome
  • Searching, processing and managing information responsibly
  • Cyber resilience and internet safety

The Education Scotland Digital Skills Team has created a document called What Digital Learning Might Look Like.  This provides examples of digital literacy and computing science learning at Early, First and Second levels.

They have also developed a number of Digital Vision Diagrams – showing what it looks like to be a Digital Learner, Teacher, Head Teacher, School and Local Authority.

Many South Ayrshire schools have Pupil Digital Leader groups.  If you would like to set up one in your school here are a few things to consider – https://bit.ly/2X3hgZs
