There’s been a big fire in Nursery today!!!! Burns cottage went on fire and needs a new roof, we got the call early this morning at the station, and had to draw a map of where to go. Luckily we got there on time and managed to put the fire out with the hoses and water packs.
Breakfast with Santa
The boys and girls in our Early Years Centre had a great time at Dobbies today. We enjoyed a fully cooked breakfast with lots of laughter from Santa’s elves, before meeting Santa and Mrs Claus! There were lots of party games. dancing and high fives as well as all of us getting a special present from Santa.
Gingerbread House
The children in the nursery have been busy making a gingerbread house to play in, we decorated the roof with glitter, and made some red white and green candy canes. We made a cosy fire with fairy lights and cellophane and decorated the house with tinsel. The children enjoy reading stories to each other
Nursery recently went a visit to Alloway Library, we had such an exciting time! The boys and girls had to ask the driver for the tickets…and pay for them, then we had to tell the driver when to stop by pressing the button on the bus. We had a quick look in the windows of Burns Cottage before a Policeman stopped in his car to talk to us. He showed us the lights on the police car. In the library we got to choose books for nursery, and have a story and snack before walking back to the bus stop. At the bus stop we posted our letters to Santa, and waited for the bus back to Nursey.
Stay and Play
We would like to invite all our Early Years Centre parents in for a short Stay and play Session on Tuesday 29th November where you can come and share in your child’s learning.
Outdoor Learning
The children enjoyed a visit to Belleisle for our Outdoor Learning, Joanne the Park Ranger showed the children signs of Autumn and some animals that like to hibernate. Joanne helped us to make a hedgehog house, before we went on an Autumn scavenger hunt! To finish we made lovely crowns with the leaves we found.
