Our 3-5yrs olds work on Early level outcomes which span two years of nursery and one year, of Primary (Primary one). Within early level there are eight curricular areas, these are…

  • Literacy and English: – Within this area children are learning to develop listening and talking skills, phonological awareness, early reading, and writing skills.
  • Maths and Numeracy: – Within this area children are developing skills in number, shape, pattern, measurement, and problem solving.
  • Health & Wellbeing: – Within this area children are developing skills in social, emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. They are learning to develop healthy habits around food and exercise and learning about relationships and how to care for others.
  • Science: – Within this area children are learning about planet earth, forces, electricity, materials, and life cycles.
  • Technologies: – Within this area children develop digital literacy skills, knowledge about food and textiles, craft, design, and engineering
  • Social Studies: – Within this area children gain opportunities to learn about people in the past and present. They learn about their local environment and community.
  • Expressive and Aesthetic: – Within this area children explore art, design, drama, and music.
  • Religious and Moral Education: – Within this area children learn about different beliefs, values, practices, and traditions.

All children’s learning is recorded through a profile on Seesaw – an online platform that allows us to communicate children’s learning and experiences home. It also allows families to share children’s home experiences with the centre so we can use children’s interests to provide tailored learning experiences.
