Reading Ambassadors

 

The library launched a Reading Ambassadors scheme, recruiting a number of students and staff to promote a reading culture throughout the school. The role involves:

 

• Promoting reading for pleasure
• Encouraging participation in library activities and competitions
• Providing book recommendations
• Working with our Reading Leadership Group
• Creating content for school assemblies and personal support lessons
• To help with the running and promotion of clubs, activities and author events across the school
• To link in with our cluster primary schools and community to encourage reading for pleasure
• To take part in national events such as Book Week Scotland and World Book Day

 

We are always happy to take on more pupils – see Mrs Palomino in the library to join the team!
