Term 2 in P1/2/3
Welcome to the P1/2/3 blog! We will be sharing with you what we have been up to in Term 2 so far. This term, our Talk for Writing text was ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. We were welcomed by a huge beanstalk in our classroom one day and have been discovering different ways to describe it. We have been using lots of similes and the power of 3 to learn lots of new adjectives. It was a fun unit!! In maths, we have been having a big focus on number. P1 have been working hard to order numbers to 30 andWe have all been extremely busy here at Barrhill Primary rehearsing for our Christmas Extravaganza! Welcome to the P7/6 blog! We will be sharing with you what we have been up to in Term 2 so far. This term, our Talk for Writing text is ‘The King of the Birds’. We created our own story maps and recorded key vocabulary and features of a wishing tale. We have been focusing upon using direct speech and similes in our writing. This week we will be completing our boxing up and wishing tale toolkit to prepare to write our own hot task independently. In maths, we are focussing upon building our confidence with number. Primary 5/4 Term 2
We would like to share with you our learning from Term 2. We have been looking at a story called The Old Mill in our Talk for Writing lessons. The author uses different techniques to build suspense and we have been using these techniques in our own writing. We have been using Accelerated Reader to complete quizzes on our class reading books and library books. This shows us how many words we have read and shows if we have understood the text. Reading homework is sent home on Wednesdays and reading records should be signed and returned to school onBarrhill Christmas Crafts

Additional CSS Issue
In the most recent update to Glow blogs we updated the version of Jetpack that we use. Jetpack no longer supports Additional CSS. Glow Blogs has just had a fairly large update. Glow Blogs is now using wordPress 6.6.2. This bring quite a lot of new features, especially to the Block & Site Editor. Quite a few plugins have been updated too.H5P Issue Some content types cannot be installed
