Primary 4/3 Term 2
Here is our class update for Term 2: We will continue to have PE on Monday afternoons. We are currently having football sessions with coaches from Ayr United. Our second PE day alternates between Tuesdays and Fridays so it is best to make sure your child’s PE kit is in school every day. Please can children bring a change of shorts/ joggers/ leggings, t-shirt and gym shoes/trainers. No jewellery should be worn. Reading and spelling homework will continue to be given out on a Monday and should be completed for a Friday. Please sign your child’s reading record each weekP7/6 Term 2 Update
Welcome back to our P7/6 blog! We’ve had a busy and exciting Term 2. Our main literacy focus this term has been persuasive writing. We have been learning how to: Use strong points and evidence Include persuasive language and rhetorical questions Structure our writing clearly Share our opinions confidently and respectfully We’ve enjoyed choosing topics we care about and learning how to write pieces that inform, convince, and persuade. In maths, we have been working on time and money. Our Dyslexia Friendly Committee is committed to making our school a place where all learners feel supported, understood, and able to thrive. At Dailly Primary School and Early Years Centre we are committed to identifying and supporting children who are Young Carers. A Young Carer is anyone under the age of eighteen who supports, or helps to support a relative, friend or neighbour. They may need extra support due to an illness, disability, mental health condition, because they are elderly, neurodivergent, have issues relating to drugs or alcohol or because they need help to communicate. We’re excited to share what we’ve been learning and enjoying so far this term. Our class teacher is Miss Connell, and we have 15 pupils in our class. We’re also supported throughout the week by Mrs Eaglesham, Mrs Morrison, Miss Mackay, and Mrs Robertson. On Thursdays, our class is taught by Mr Woods. Our Weekly Routine P.E. takes place every week on Thursday. Our other PE session is either a Tuesday or a Friday! If we have Outdoor Learning on a Friday (which happens every second week), P.E. will move to Tuesday. If there is no Outdoor Learning that week,P4/3 Term 1
We have had a super start to the term! We have all settled in well to our new class and we have been very busy learners! Mrs Kirkwood teaches us on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Connelly teaches us on a Thursday and Mrs Parker teaches us on a Friday. Every other Friday we go outdoors for our learning along with Primary 2. We have PE every Monday and the weeks we are outdoor learning we have PE on a Tuesday and if it is not our week to go outdoors we have PE on a Friday. This canLatest News

An issue with pdf uploaded to Glow Blogs has recently developed. Our developers are looking at the issue to create a fix. The issue is that pdfs uploaded to Glow Blogs are ‘truncated’ to one page.
