Staffing update

I am delighted to share that Julie Lindsay was successful at interview and is now in post as Depute Head of our ELCC. Julie has been undertaking this role on a temporary basis and we are delighted that she is staying with us to be part of our Senior Management Team.

I am pleased to share that Carly Wales and Angela Ellingham have been successful in gaining permanent Early Learning and Childcare positions within our establishment. Carly and Angela have been working with our children and families on a temporary basis and we are delighted that they are now part of the great team here at Williamsburgh.

I am also delighted to announce that Claire Greig was successful at interview for our position of Equity and Excellence Lead. Claire will start in this role this month and then resume following her period of maternity leave. Claire is due to start her maternity leave in February and we are excited to hear her baby news.

Mairead Wilson, our senior Early Learning and Childcare Officer, has decided to take early retirement. Mairead has been extremely loyal towards the children and families of Williamsburgh, having worked in our nursery for over 23 years. We will all miss Mairead as she has been a huge part of our Williamsburgh team. We all wish Mairead a happy and healthy retirement. Mairead will finish with us at the end of January.

Joanne McEvoy was successful at interview for our Senior post. Joanne has experience in a Senior position and will join us from another Renfrewshire establishment. We are excited that Joanne will be joining our team at the end of this month.

Our vacant posts will be advertised, and staff will keep you informed of any changes relating to your child. Please do not hesitate to speak to Julie or Jackie, who will be able to assist with any questions and ensure smooth transitions where applicable.
