There are four houses in West Primary: Broomlands – blue,  Maxwellton – green,  Newton – yellow, and Wellmeadow – red.

Children earn points for being kind and caring, working hard, being respectful to adults and doing well in competitions in the school. Every week the house with the highest number of points has an extra 15 minutes of playtime at the end of assembly. Points are totalled each term and the House Trophy is awarded to the winning house. On the last day of term the winning house has a treat.
