Parents are invited to pop into our Breakfast Club tomorrow morning (1st February) from 8.15am to see what food and activities are on offer to the children on a daily basis.

Dr Nicky Moore told us about his job as a doctor in the Accident and Emergency Department of a busy hospital.

We will also continue our great work on the topic-

There will be a reading café for P3 and P4 children and accompanying adults on a Wednesday after school in the school library and technology room from 3pm to 4.15pm.

During this time children and adults will explore different books and authors and enjoy cooking together.  The café is all about having fun together through reading for pleasure, sharing an activity and enjoying the goodies together at the end.

The café will be run in 4 week blocks starting on 1^st February.  The blocks will be in February, March and May.  Children must attend with an adult but this does not need to be a parent.

Please return the letter the children have received if you would like to attend with your child before Wednesday 25^th January.

All activities are free.

We have been talking all about Robert Burns all week and listening to his poems and songs. We made beautiful red rose finger paintings as we listened to ‘My Love is Like a Red Red Rose’. Today is a special day because it is Robert Burns birthday. We tasted haggis, neeps and tatties as well as drinking some Irn Bru! Some of us cleared our plates! After our Burns supper we tried oatcakes, shortbread and even a little piece of tablet. Yum!
