I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. It’s great to see the children back and to hear their Christmas stories. We were so proud of them when they sang at the Brewers Fayre and it was great to see so many families coming out to support them.
We have a busy term ahead in Primary 3 where we will be continuing our Hanukkah topic for the next few weeks. This will be followed by a Healthy Eating topic where we will be making healthy snacks for the school enterprise challenge. We will then go on to learn about major organs in the human body and through this, we will gain some Heartstart skills.
Children will be enjoying some art work based around a famous artist and will learn about the festival of Easter.
We would really appreciate more volunteers from Primary 3 parents to come in and talk about their job at World of Work week. We want the children to hear about as many different occupations as possible and I would encourage you to play a role in this. Teachers are on hand to ask relevant questions and the sessions are very short and informal. If you are interested please contact Mrs.Wiszniewski. The week starts on Monday 22nd February.
Teachers are keen to work in partnership with parents and strive to keep you informed. There will be a parents’ evening in April, however please do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns before that. We would like to see parents in and around the school on a more regular basis and would like to offer library sessions during World Book Week for you to visit the school library with your child during this week.
We are pleased to say that the children in Primary 3 are great at bringing their gym kit. They continue to become successful learners and effective contributors as they grow and develop throughout the year.
We appreciate all the support for homework as this really enhances your child’s success.
Thank you for your continuing support.
