Ask your child about our Save the Children assembly today. We were delighted to be joined by Anne Strang who told us all about the work of Save the Children.
We will get our thinking caps on and see if we can raise some funds to help Save the Children. We were all impressed with what great work they do! Photos to follow!
It’s that time of year again! Preparations are underway for our annual Talent Show. In previous years we have had musicians, singers, dancers, pianists, gymnasts and cheerleaders to name a few! Each stage will put forward two acts for the event on Friday 8th December.
Before the main event, each class will hold auditions to decide on the two acts going forward. Classes are holding their auditions on different dates so please see below for audition details. On audition days, pupils will need to bring in everything they need for their audition.
Just a reminder that tomorrow (Friday 24th Nov) is a non-uniform day. Pupils have been asked to make a donation for the Fayre in exchange for not wearing uniforms.
What a great week it has been at Wallace Primary School and Nursery.
We had two great trips to the cinema to see Cars 3 and The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the children had a great time. I was inundated with reports of the children and their excellent behaviour! It’s always wonderful to hear how well our pupils are representing the school in the community! #luckyheadteacher
Over the last few weeks I’ve spent quality time in classes during Literacy time. It’s been great to see the children working so hard and see their excellent attitude to their learning. I will be continuing these visits next week and look forward to seeing the children at work!
This week I enjoyed homework club with Primary 2-4 and P5-7’s Art Club. It’s great to see our pupils benefiting from the range of extra curricular clubs on offer.
Today it was lovely to have assembly with the whole school, I have missed the last two due to other commitments. Why not ask the children about their ideas for our school vision and about digital leaders!
Our pupils are loving the Wednesday afternoon Coding Club! They have been using Scratch and code.org to create their own games. Have a look at Holly’s Halloween themed game below!
