Care Home
Intergenerational Interactions – At St Margaret’s ELCC, we have a link with a local care home, Adam’s House. We recognise the importance of being a part of our community and we value the benefits of relationships being built across generations. Children visit the care home for 6 weeks, sharing activities, skills and stories with the residents and have been known to teach the residents ‘baby shark’! The residents and the children equally enjoy these visits and when we can, we invite the residents into the nursery to play, bake and more.
Station 7
We are very happy to have a link with the local community hub, Station 7.
Children visit each week and take part in activities with community members, such as crocheting, knitting, fun games, action songs and storytelling. Some of the community members have then visited the nursery, bringing their old firefighter uniform and sharing their experience s with the children.
