Event Information
Bookbug Sessions – Bookbug is a programme in Scotland that encourages parents and carers to share stories, songs, and rhymes with babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. The programme’s goal is to inspire a love of reading and storytelling from an early age. Family members including siblings are invited to join us for an informal song and rhyme session facilitated by one of our trained members of staff in the ELC Class.
SJB Hoedown – This is one of our fun sponsored events that take place throughout the year. Families are invited to join us for a fun wild west themed event with a variety of activities including our sponsored line dance.
Stay and Play Sessions – Our stay and play sessions are an informal opportunity for your child to invite a family member into the nursery to show them around and share with them all the fun experiences they participate in.
Christmas Party – In order to maximise funds children are invited to attend during an AM or PM time slot – 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm. Information to follow re: children’s allocated time slot. Children are invited to wear a party outfit, will have a party snack and will receive a gift from a special festive visitor!
Easter Party and Sponsored Bunny Hop – This is one of our fun sponsored events that take place throughout the year. Families are invited to join us for our sponsored bunny hop and Easter themed activities including a visit from a special furry friend.
Eva’s Day – Eva Stone is a child who attended the nursery and St John Bosco Primary School. Tragically in July 2024 she very suddenly passed away aged 8 years old. To celebrate Eva’s life we are holding an annual ‘Eva’s Day’. A Just Giving link will be shared nearer the time to make a donation to the family’s chosen charity Cerebral Palsy Scotland.
Sports Day – Following feedback from previous Sport’s Days and to ensure all children can participate we changed the format of this day in June 2025. Children and families will participate in a variety of fun sporty activities on the day.
