Riverbrae Race Night

THANK YOU

What an incredible night we had at the Riverbrae Race Night on Thursday 21st May. Thanks to the amazing generosity and support from our families, friends, staff and local businesses, we are absolutely delighted to say we raised over £2,000 for the new school library.

A huge thank you to all of our fantastic race sponsors:

  • Stephen Brennan – who also did a brilliant job hosting the event
  • Millbank Steading
  • Autastic Club
  • ManCave Barbers
  • Balloon Bliss Boutique

Special thanks also to Clarabella’s Cupcakes for kindly donating her delicious cakes.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event and supported us by buying raffle tickets, purchasing horses, placing bets and donating such fantastic raffle prizes. Your generosity and community spirit made the night such a success.

A very special thank you goes to our Head Teacher, Lynne Hollywood, all of the wonderful Riverbrae staff, and also Susan Douglas and Lucy Dempster who helped at the event. We truly couldn’t do it without your continued support.

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from the whole Riverbrae community, and all money raised from the evening will go towards creating a fantastic new library for our pupils.

Important Information

You may already be aware that last month, councillors agreed Monday 15 June 2026 will be a bank holiday as designated by Scottish Government, to celebrate Scotland’s participation in the FIFA Men’s World Cup.

The power to amend school holidays sits with the Education and Children’s Services Policy Board. They next meet on Thursday 21 May, and when they do they will be asked to formally approve the closure of our schools and nurseries on Monday 15 June.

In advance of that, parents may wish to consider their childcare options for Monday 15 June, should the closure be approved. The council will contact parents after the meeting on Thursday 21 May to confirm if the closure has been approved.
