Dear Parents and Carers,
We are pleased to inform you that Riverbrae will be celebrating Burns Night with a fun Scotland-themed day on Friday 23 January.
To mark the occasion, children are welcome to take part by wearing Scottish-themed clothing such as tartan, kilts, blue and white colours, ribbons or other Scotland-inspired accessories. Scotland tops are fine but no other football colours please. We will offering optional face painting with simple Scottish designs, such a small flag or flower.
If you do not want your child to have their face painted, please let the class team know in Learning Journals.
Participation is entirely optional, and there is no need to purchase anything special, simple colours or small accessories are more than sufficient.
This celebration is a lovely opportunity for pupils to learn about the life and work of Robert Burns in an enjoyable and inclusive way.
Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
