We’ve recently updated our site to include lots of information, resources and, of course, achievements.

We are a small but mighty department with lots going on all year round. We have a dedicated staff of class teachers and instrumental instructors who are passionate about providing engaging and enjoyable musical experiences for our young people.

With a healthy uptake at all levels of Music and Music Technology, we welcome many talented and enthusiastic young musicians into our department. These young people contribute their time and energy to our department outside of class time too by attending our Music Pupil Council, engaging in extracurricular music and by supporting other pupils in the department.

We are fortunate to enjoy the support of the Johnstone High Community,  including our feeder primary schools, local businesses and musical organisations.

With the support of parents and carers, we are able to ensure that pupils in Johnstone High School come to the Music Department to be inspired, be challenged and, above all, be themselves.
