Tuesday 24th March Lifeskills: Baking

Mary Berry’s chocolate brownies

Mary Berry’s chocolate brownies are super easy for kids as you just measure everything into one bowl and mix it together!

Difficulty: Easy

Time: 30 minutes + 45 minutes

Serves: 24 pieces

INGREDIENTS

275g softened butter
375g caster sugar
4 large eggs
75g cocoa powder
100g self raising flower
100g plain chocolate chips (or chocolate cut up)

HOW TO MAKE MARY BERRY’S CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

PRE-HEAT THE OVEN TO 180C / 160 FAN. Get an adult to help you.

PREPARE A 30 X 23 CM BAKING TIN: use some butter to grease round the side of the tin. I normally use some kitchen roll to wipe it round.

MEASURE OUT THE INGREDIENTS

MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER: I use a fork for mixing.

POUR THE MIXTURE INTO THE BAKING TRAY

BAKE FOR 40-45 MINUTES.

LEAVE TO COOL, CUT UP AND ENJOY!
