Friday 24th April -Creative Task

Today your creative task is to create or serve a meal at home for your family. It can either be breakfast, lunch or dinner. (You can do this at any point today or this weekend!)

Try and present the food nicely on the plate or bowl. You could even set the table before your meal. Use whatever you have at home and if you decide to cook, please ask an adult to help you.

We would love if you could post pictures of your meal, or table setting, or maybe you could write a recipe or instructions of how you made your meal.

Good luck!!!  It might earn you extra brownie points with parents/guardians at home!!!

Budgeting Challenge

Using our money skills can you use add, subtract, multiply and divide to write a shopping list.

You have £20 to spend and you need a meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner and some snacks.

Wednesday 22nd April – Music

Alan Menken is a very famous composer. He says that the music is one of the most important parts of a film and that often he is given the idea for a film and he creates the music first!

He believes that music scores should be iconic and that the music is the structure to a story, it is the glue that holds everything else together.

So to see if this is true we are going to do a Disney song quiz. You will listen to 10 seconds of a  song and try to guess the name of the song and the film it is from.

Ask yourselves these questions

  1. Can I picture this film in my head?
  2. Can I remember what is happening while this song is playing?
  3. What character sings this song?

When you are finished, pick your favourite song. If this song was in a film, what would be happening while it played? Who would sing it?
