Family Advice Service – Money, benefits and debt advice for parents and carers
We know money worries can have a big affect on people’s lives. We also know that it can be difficult to take the first steps to sort out your finances. To make it easier for parents and carers with children in primary school, nursery or younger, Renfrewshire Council’s Advice Works team is offering free, friendly, confidential and impartial advice for families.
What advice is provided?
Advice Works can assist with a wide variety of enquiries, including but not limited to money, debt, budgeting and benefits. If you have money worries of any kind, please make an appointment and find out if they can help you. They will also be happy to check if you’re getting all the benefits you’re entitled to, including the new Scottish benefits and things like Council Tax Reduction.
Where can I get advice?
Advice is generally provided over the phone, giving families greater flexibility and choice of where and when suits best to discuss issues and receive the appropriate advice and support without having to travel anywhere. They can also offer online appointments if you’re prefer.
How do I make an appointment?
