We are happy to announce that external access to Microsoft Teams in Glow has now been granted for Renfrewshire Council. This means that staff will now be able to invite external users to join Teams meetings. For example, a guest speaker to talk to a class.
We have also requested external access is switched on in Google Meet in Glow and this is now complete too.
Prior to making use of this feature, it is essential that:
- Appendix 3 of the attached guidance is signed by SLT and returned to: DigiLearnRen@renfrewshire.gov.uk
- Staff are aware of their responsibilities, in particular the risks and mitigations on page 4
- Staff use the End Meeting/End Meeting for all button when the meeting is over
- External attendees must join meetings prior to learners to ensure they can be identified
- All users are aware of acceptable use
