The RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch is an educational activity that gets your class closer to nature.
Primary 5 joined in by traipsing outdoors around our fabulous playground to spot various types of birds.
The children had to look out for specific birds in the school grounds and see how many different types they could see. Some were harder to spot than others!
They used a “Spot it” Bird ID sheet to help them record what they found.
The children recorded seeing magpies, seagulls, black birds, ducks, robins and even a heron.
Martha and Siobhan were able to get very near a robin.
Can you see it hiding in the tree?
