Hello everyone!
We are so very excited to begin our journey to becoming STEM Youth Ambassadors and spreading awareness and fun of STEM subjects around the school.
The STEM group will meet once a week on a Tuesday at lunchtime. If it is at all possible could we please ask that your child comes to school with a packed lunch each Tuesday, to allow us to have our full lunchtime to discuss all things STEM! If not do not worry we will make sure your child has enough time to eat their school dinner :).
Dates:
Tuesday 17th December
Tuesday 7th January
Tuesday 14th January
Tuesday 21st January
Tuesday 28th January
Tuesday 4th February
Tuesday 11th February
We look forward to updating you soon with all of the exciting projects we have lined up for the rest of the year.
Many thanks,
Mrs Kane, Mr Burrell and Miss Cauley.
Calling all hopeful STEM Youth Ambassadors.
If you have requested a Youth Ambassadors application form – thank you! We cannot wait to gather in all of the responses and see what an amazing team we can create!
Please hand in completed application forms to either Miss Cauley, Mrs Kane or Mr Burrell by Tuesday 12th November 2019.
We look forward to reading these and will get back in touch in due course.
Many thanks,
Mr McAvoy, Miss Cauley, Mrs Kane and Mr Burrell.
Hello everyone,
A reminder to all children in the Health and Wellbeing and Food Eco group that our meeting will be held tomorrow in P3W at 12:15. If you can please bring your packed lunch along.
Mrs Kane, Mr Wormald and Miss Frew.
Reading
From tomorrow each child will be given a new school reading book to read aloud and discuss this week. These will be collected in next Tuesday.
Word Walls have also been issued this week. Children will have this word wall until they are confident reading all of the words.
Maths
This week we are looking at 2D shape. The homework sheet is all based around 2D shapes. The sheet should be completed and handed back by Friday.
Spelling
Our new spelling sound this week is ‘ch’.
Please remind children to hand in any letters they may have in the mornings along with their diary.
