I am hoping to make light catchers with the class next Friday and would really appreciate it if you could send in any old CDs or DVDs which we would then be able to decorate, and hang outside.

Learning to join our handwriting 👏🏼
This term we have been learning to join some of our letters. This is tricky, but we are making a huge effort, and making good progress.
So far we have learned to join at, all and th. We are really encouraging the children to use these joins in all pieces of writing.
The star writing pile is getting bigger and bigger 🌟😀👏🏼 and we are trying so hard to get extra points for effort and neatness.

The children really impressed me with their mathematical knowledge and ability to share strategies to help each other to solve a variety of sums.

Baking Masterclass
What great fun we’ve had over the past few weeks. The children have enjoyed making tasty dirt worms and false teeth!
Some of you have asked for the ‘worms’ recipe to try at home. We used bourbons for the ‘dirt’ and chocolate angel delight for the ‘mud’

Primary 3F Angles
Today we made a right angle tester and hunted for right angles around the classroom. We found lots of examples. See if your child can tell you about them. 😀
Primary 2H Alphabetical Order
We have been working together to learn about alphabetical order, and are becoming more confident ordering letters correctly.
Today we even started to order words in alphabetical order and had a little look at a dictionary. We are looking forward to using a dictionary next week.
Primary 2H Symmetry
We had great fun finding symmetrical shapes in our environment. Can you see the lines of symmetry in our pictures?
Can you find other examples of symmetry in and around your homes? I can’t wait to hear about, and maybe even see your ideas next week.
