As we celebrate World Book Day we are delighted to launch our new Accelerated Reader resource. This resources is designed to increase reading engagement within the school and we have invested in a wide range of new book titles. The books were chosen by a group of our pupils based on information collected from their peers.
Below is a link to a booklet that explains the system in more detail. Look out for a physical copy in your child’s bag in the coming weeks.
Initially we will be starting with pupils in primaries 4-7. However as we become more familiar with the system and extend our range of books, pupils in the infant stages will also have access.
We hope that you will support your child in this by asking about the books they are reading and perhaps taking some time to discuss the books.
