Today Primary 5 had the chance to visit the City Halls in Glasgow to be a part of the audience for the BBC Ten Pieces concert. What a wonderful experience it was!
We had the opportunity to watch the Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform a number of pieces. They ranged from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony to Stravinsky’s Firebird. Quite a few of the numbers had us dancing in our seats and it was so lovely to see so many of you get so involved in the music. It is the first time I have had the pleasure of watching a symphony orchestra and I was very impressed. Many of you also said just how much you enjoyed it.
The photograph above is the orchestra playing this afternoon. Can you remember the names of some of the instruments that were played?
A huge thank you to our parent helpers who joined us this afternoon. I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
