Under 15 Football vs St Luke’s

Under 15 Football Team

The under 15 team will be looking to get back to winning ways next time out after a first league defeat last week at St Luke’s to the tune of 5 – 1.

Following hot on the heels of a 10 – 0 home victory against Trinity this was not what the boys had planned.

St Luke’s scored early and it was the first time the boys had found themselves behind in any game this season.

Consequently, the heads dropped a little and the performance was nowhere near the impressive performances that have been in evidence throughout the rest of this campaign.

Greg Steven scored a consolation goal in a game where Johnstone were second best on the day.  So well done to St Luke’s for a thoroughly deserved victory.

Next up on Tuesday 10th of March is another tricky away tie to a very good Gryffe team.

Hopefully, the likes of Lewis Banaghan will bring the shooting boots that scored 6 impressive goals against Trinity in th eprevious game.

The team were below par but the man of the match award goes to the captain Kris Alexander who put in a great shift at the back and did all he could to motivate those around about him.

Renfrewshire Table Tennis Championships

Pupils from S1,S2 and S4 participated in the tournament which was held at Renfrew High School. Of the four pupils who competed, 3 made their respective finals- S1/2 final was between Logan MacDonald (S1) and Marc Graham (S2) and Ryan Brown (S4) challenged for the S3/4 title.

Both Finals were of an exceptionally high standard with Logan winning the Junior Final. Ryan came very close to securing the S3/4 title but lost out in the final few points.

Well done to the 4 boys who represented their school with distinction!
