Term Update
It has been a very busy term in the music room. P4- P7 pupils are enjoying rotational music time. They have 4 different activities each week. Playing keyboards and percussion instruments plus two other activities which vary each week. We also continue to learn the songs for Mary Poppins.
Every class in the school is preparing for their performance at the Easter Service. I’m sure you will enjoy seeing and hearing from P1-P7 as they take their turn in the Church.
P6 and P7 pupils were very fortunate to have the opportunity to take part in a workshop called Take a Breath last month. They then attended a marvellous concert led by Amy Dickson. She plays the saxophone and was a huge inspiration for the children.
The rehearsals for Mary Poppins are coming along nicely and most pupils are really good at remembering to come along to practice on the correct lunch break. The cast have had their scripts for a good while now and I can see some have been reading them over at home. Grateful thanks for any parental help given – very much appreciated.
Our Junior Choir sang very well this morning at Perform in Perth and gained a first class certificate.
Thank you to the parents who joined us on the bus.
Special Performance
P6Y were very fortunate this morning. Mr Seith and four pupils from Blairgowrie High School entertained them at music. They were able to see and hear different instruments from the Brass family and hopefully their wonderful playing has inspired someone, if not a few pupils to take up a Brass instrument. Thank you Mr Seith and your lovely pupils.Special Brass
